Pinfluence Extension — Privacy Policy
The Pinfluence browser extension is a companion to your Pinfluence account, operated by Pinfluencing LLC. It adds Pinfluence features to Pinterest® pages you visit — search-volume overlays, pin stats, keyword lists, scheduled-pin tools, analytics backup, and auto-filling Pinterest’s copyright form with a batch you prepared in Pinfluence Intel. It does not sell personal data and does not send data to anyone other than Pinfluencing LLC. This page describes the extension’s data practices specifically; for the policy covering all Pinfluence services, see https://pinfluencing.com/privacy-policy/.
Where the extension runs
The extension runs only on pinterest.com pages (including trends.pinterest.com) and the Pinfluence Intel application (intel.pinfluencing.com). It does not run on, read, or modify any other website.
What the extension stores locally
- A bearer token issued by your Pinfluence account, used to authenticate API requests. The token is stored in
chrome.storage.localand leaves your browser only as the Authorization header on requests to Pinfluence’s own APIs (api.intel.pinfluencing.comandapi-v2.pinfluencing.com). - Your extension settings and cached feature data (keyword lists, search volumes, scheduled-pin drafts, batch progress). Uninstalling the extension removes this local data.
What the extension reads on Pinterest pages
- Data Pinterest shows you in your own logged-in session: search results and related search-volume data, public pin stats, your analytics dashboard, and your scheduled pins.
- When you use the copyright tool, it reads Pinterest’s copyright form page (pinterest.com/about/copyright/dmca-pin/), fills the form fields from your Pinfluence Intel batch, and detects the confirmation number after submission.
All reading happens inside your browser.
What the extension sends to Pinfluence
The extension communicates only with Pinfluencing LLC’s own APIs, authenticated as you, and only to power features you use:
- Analytics backup and sync to your Pinfluence Intel account
- Stats and engagement data for pins and keywords you track
- Changes you make to your keyword lists
- Scheduled-pin data for the scheduling tools
- Copyright-form batch progress and confirmation numbers
What the extension does not do
- It does not sell or share your data with third parties.
- It contains no advertising or third-party analytics trackers.
- It does not read other tabs or other websites.
- It never collects or sees your Pinterest password.
- It acts on Pinterest pages only in ways you trigger.
